■ Renewal (Confirmation) of Alien Registration
Foreign residents issued an alien registration card must take confirmation of his/her passport details for a certain period. Once the confirmation has finished, you can obtain a new alien registration card.
Also, when foreign residents under the age of sixteen turn to sixteen years old, confirmation is required and a new alien registration card is issued.

Within 30 days after the sixteenth birthday if the foreign resident turned to the age of sixteen.

■ Replacement of alien registration
A new alien registration card can be issued in exchange for the old one when your card is damaged or stained; or you applied for registering change in your name or nationality; or you cannot fill in any more details such as changes or corrections because of less space in your alien registration card.
